Came here craving coconut shrimp and boy did they deliver! So yummy! My boyfriend had the fried crab cakes and was equally pleased. Unlike the reviews I read, our service was great and given with a smile :-) We came at 2:30 between the lunch and dinner crowds which may have made the experience more peaceful? Idk...we loved it. The portions are large! You won't need an appetizer to leave feeling full. The place has outdoor and indoor seating which was nice. Faces the water and can watch all the boaters and jet skis. I recommend this place :-D

I really love the views from the top bar area but the mixed drinks were really bad. My wife couldn't drink hers but didn't want to make a fuss. The food was less than expected and a little overpriced. Specifically, the crab and shrimp dip was not fresh and the crab cakes were super dry, were over cooked and had too much bread. My wife did enjoy the Philadelphia steak sandwich but she is not a fan of seafood. The bartender was our server and with the bar being half full and then just us on the rail, I had to go to her to order and settle the check. I will not be back and can't recommend it.

Unlike everyone else on Yelp, we had an excellent experience at Crab Daddy's last month! The service was great! I can't remember her name - Angel? - waited on us and was spectacular. We sat upstairs, right near the bar. (BTW, there's a great view up there!) All you can eat crab was awesome. Nearly everyone in our party got it. Our waitress was happy to order refills anytime we wanted and she kept them coming quickly. I personally had a "pot" - crab legs, clams, muscles, sausage, corn, potatoes. Enough food to feed an entire family, but all for me? Muwahhh haaa haaa!

Update summer 2015 - the bad manager/bartender guy was fired so you won't have to deal with him anymore. We tried Crab Daddy's out on 8/10/2014. They had live music on the outside patio/bar area so the inside was pretty dead. We had an interesting experience. Over the few hours we were there, we experienced service from Lindsey, Heather and Rodney. Lindsey was initially acting as bartender even though she's not a bartender, Heather came on a bit later to help her, and Rodney was floating about through the afternoon. Lindsey and Heather were awesome, Rodney was actually someone who makes me wonder why is this person working in a service role. We had been there watching the Rays game at the bar for about an hour and he just comes in and changes the channel to golf. We asked him to put it back to what we were watching, he grunted, changed it back, and then threw the remote across the bar area onto a shelf and walked away. The game was 2-2 at the time and he comes back about 20 minutes later, when it was in extra innings, and comments "Guess I didn't miss anything." Nice, please go out of your way to insult the customers. The Rays were wearing their ugly throwback uniforms today and Lindsey commented on having not seen them wear those before; Rodney couldn't let that go, so he comments loud enough for the whole bar to hear, "Since all of you that don't follow sports don't know, those are throwback uniforms." Okay, great, insult the customers and your coworkers. He didn't end it there though, he's a pro. Every time he returned to the bar he'd either insult Lindsey and Heather, or make some negative comment about baseball. It takes a lot to annoy me but this guy was over the top. Anyway, my party of three had the buffalo chicken wrap, Caesar salad, Ultimate Steam Pot (four types of crab, mussels, clams, sausage, potatoes, corn, garlic bread, etc.), loaded nachos, fries, peel & eat shrimp and a bunch of drinks. The food was great. The shrimp shells would fall right off, so you know it was steamed correctly. They were heavy on the Old Bay so the flavor was perfect. The ultimate steam pot had legs and knuckles from dungeness, snow, king and stone crab. It was awesome; got all kinds of messy tearing into all those delicious legs. Everything else was pretty run of the mill but was good, so no complaints. Will try out some more next time. The inside area was very nice; big open bar and lots of tables. There's an upper deck too in addition to the huge outside seating area. Place has only been open a few months so give it time but it seems like they're on the right path, if you can avoid getting service from Rodney.

I left cash, she wrote in a 10$ tip for herself... then we call and the manager Steve says he will take care if it and us... even gave his personal number, just to not answer... i called back and left a message for any Other manager to get back to me and NOPEt...still haven't heard Anything...stupid me, the food was so good we bought a groupon as we were done eating there to come back and boom...just to have this chick do that to my card, she sucked... looked wranchy, made the drinks with NO alcohol ...tryin to make more cash for her pocket.... they SUCK!!!

Nice little spot on the water. We found a groupon so we tried it out. We sat upstairs and our server was pretty on top of it even though she also had the bar to tend. Our kids had Mac and cheese and a grilled cheese. Mac was delicious. My husband and I started with the crab daddy dip which was pretty good and a chowder which was more like a stew. Not my favorite. As an entree we had the crab pasta with white wine sauce. It was supposed to be lump crab which it definitely wasn't. Good flavor, but expensive for the quality of crab. Great live music. Definitely a bar atmosphere so I probably wouldn't bring the kids back. Smoking all over. I'll give a 3.

We went for lunch on a Friday. There were two of us, and one man sitting at the bar (upstairs). The food was OK. The waitress talked non-stop to the guy at the bar. We waited and waited for service. I'll be glad when the next restaurant takes over.

We came from St. Pete's beach to have dinner. The live music lured us in. We sat upstairs and because it rained we moved downstairs. The service was terrible. The waitress ignored us even though we were a party of eight. The food was salty and the appetizers came out an hour after ordering them. The waitress upstairs was very accommodating but the waitress downstairs was downright rude. Would not recommend this place.

Stopped here because there was live music and it looked promising, how wrong we were... I Ordered a combo with king crab, snow crab and dungeness; the first two were sub par and didn't taste very fresh while the third was inedible and taste of ammonia. My wife's grouper was mushy and tasted off and my sons shrimp were bad as well. On top of the poor food their prices are high, our bill was $80 after the server comped our drinks because I asked him to try the dungeness. There are lots of great places to eat on St Pete's avoid crab daddy's!
